Caroline Bouguereau is a member of the Black Church Print studio in Temple Bar. Originally from St. Tropez she trained in Rome with artist Giuseppe Gallo, then at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London and in the Graphic Art Workshop in San Francisco, and now lives in Dublin. Her work is in permanent collections including Stanford University and the Museum of Jurassic Technology, Los Angeles.
This is the first exhibition of her work in Dublin, and includes works evoking parasitic and contagion-carrying insects and a ceramic chess set based on the reproductive cycle of the horseshoe worm.
Bouguereau's UNLOVELY CREATURES series celebrates the villains and unloved specimens of natural history. Many of the works exhibited here were developed from studies carried out by Bouguereau in Dublin's Natural History museum.
